Stimulators (Artists)

Here is a list of artists and a blurb about them… Artists and more artists.

Kwame

Kwame M. Viapree is a producer who has been playing piano for more than twelve years and guitar for two. With hopes of emulating Stevie Wonder and Quincy Jones, he took a year of piano lessons in the 5th grade but quit to pursue tag, bike riding, and other childhood interests. “I wanted to play songs like ‘Always’ and ‘All I Do,’ but I was always playing classical. As time passed, I didn’t want to practice anymore. I just wanted to go outside and play.”

During his freshman year of high school, Kwame made his way back to the piano and began to learn popular Billboard hits in his spare time. Soon he began composing his own songs. The first song he wrote won a
Coors National Talent contest and led others to believe in his talent. ”I let some people hear what I was doing and eventually they offered me keyboards and equipment.”

Kwame began working in various recording studios with local musicians, while learning all he could about the recording process. Persistence, knowledge of his craft and diligent networking led him to work with Wyclef Jean, Lauryn Hill, Melky Sedeck, Biz Markie, Simone Hines, and many other artists. In 2003 he won the Heineken Music initiative/ASCAP Foundation R&B songwriters Grant, along with his songwriting partner Chinua Hawk, for their song “I Remember You”. His sensual remixes of popular hiphop and r&b songs have been spun in clubs and on radio stations around the world.

Kwame is currently working on his first official independent release which is expected to debut in 2009 on www.stimulatingmusic.com.
